As a lifelong Lexingtonian, Daren Turner always saw untapped potential in the 40-acre tract off Main Street, once home to bustling tobacco warehouses. Beyond the forgotten industrial ruins, he envisioned a vibrant mixed-use destination where people from all walks of life gather to live, work, play and make connections.

Daren recognized Lexington needed more innovative spaces fostering community, collaboration and convenience. He set out to create a connected hub meeting the growing desires of locals and visitors alike.

The project posed challenges, requiring creative reimagining of an aging industrial site. But Daren welcomes the chance to shape Lexington’s future. “It’s an honor to develop this legacy project for my hometown,” he says.

The Commons pays homage to the locale’s past while boldly reimagining its future. Construction is underway on the multi-phase development integrating retail, dining, offices, hospitality and entertainment.
